PrecisionMed Inc. announces availability of a new CSF collection. This collection includes CSF and Plasma from a single site collection of 100 donors with AD, MCI or Normal Cognition.
SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–PrecisionMed Inc., the world’s foremost private supplier of normal and diseased cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), today announced availability of a CSF collection and plasma from a single academic site collection of 100 donors including Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment and normal, appropriately aged controls. The announcement was made at The World Biomarker Congress in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The CSF collection supplements the company’s biological sample bank of CSF and other biological sample types associated with neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disease.
This self contained single site CSF collection of correlated data and biological samples is of value for the investigation of biomarkers related to cognitive decline, MCI, Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative disease. All subjects were recruited, clinically evaluated, cognitively studied, and sampled at a single academic clinical site with expertise in Alzheimer’s disease. Samples and clinical data are available immediately to researchers worldwide.
